Welcome...
Located 40 minutes north of Adelaide in South Australia, Valache Dressage Stables was established in 1999 with the purchase of a young dressage prospect Valache Park Bush Serenade. Kate educated and competed the beautiful dark brown mare to elementary level before she found a new home with RDA Dressage Champion Natalie Mellors, while Kate turned her focus to her jumping horses.
Since those early days in the Dressage ring as a young rider, Kate has successfully competed on her beloved horses in many disciplines, including Eventing, Showjumping and Dressage at shows such as the Naracoorte Young Rider 3DE and the Werribee Dressage Festival in Victoria.
Kate has had guidance from several well-known dressage trainers including the late Edgar Lichtwark. She is currently training under Heather Currie of Danson Dressage and Thomas Muehlenbeck from Germany who, before moving to Australia, was trainer to the German trainers. Kate has found that both trainers have a thorough and systematic approach to dressage through the German Training Scale which suits her horses well, and is a teaching quality she constantly aims to perfect with her own pupils.
Kate always has a limited number of horses in work to ensure that they have the individual attention they need to develop into their full potential. Please contact Kate directly to discuss any training requirements you have.
